Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED June 12, 2026

This policy explains what information jolt.is and joltco.co (the "Site") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we don't sell your data, and we only use what we need to run the Site and talk with you.

In this policy, "Jolt Co.," "we," "us," and "our" mean Jolt Companies, LLC, doing business as Jolt Co., based in Dallas, Texas.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers the information we collect through the Site. It doesn't cover anything that happens off the Site, or services provided under a separate client agreement, which are handled under that agreement.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you reach out — through our live chat or by email — we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. You decide how much to tell us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site automatically collects basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the site you came from. This comes from our hosting provider and our chat tool, and it helps the Site run and stay secure.

We do not ask for sensitive information (like government IDs, financial account numbers, or health data) through the Site. Please don't send it to us through the Site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function. The Site uses:

  • Essential cookies that make the Site and its features work.
  • Chat cookies set by our live chat provider so the chat widget can run and remember your conversation.

We do not currently run advertising or marketing pixels on the Site, and we don't use cookies to track you across other websites for advertising.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.

4. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your messages and questions
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent abuse
  • Meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations

5. How we share information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site and communicate with you — currently our website host (Webflow) and our live chat provider (Intercom). They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers, if Jolt Co. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll let affected users know.

6. Third-party services

The Site relies on a few outside services, each with its own privacy practices:

  • Webflow (website hosting)
  • Intercom (live chat)

We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they handle data.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here — for example, to continue a conversation with you, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes — and then delete or anonymize it.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information
  • Opt out of the sale of your information or its use for targeted advertising

Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and California residents have similar rights under California law. As noted above, we don't sell personal information or use the Site for targeted advertising.

To make a request, email hello@joltco.co. We'll verify your request and respond within the time the law allows. You won't be treated differently for exercising these rights.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Please use good judgment about what you send us online.

10. Children's privacy

The Site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Because there isn't a common industry standard for how to respond to them, the Site doesn't currently change its behavior based on these signals. We'll update this section if that changes.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top. Significant changes may also be announced on the Site.
